[This year, Maul had decided to behave himself when it came to giving gifts, unlike in years past where he broke into people's houses rather like Santa himself did. All gifts are left on the porch or front step of the recipient's home for them to find in the morning.

Snow was given a red cloak and fur muff to help make sure she stayed warm this winter. A sketch of the princess is also included. Accompanying it was a note in blocky handwriting wishing his friend a Merry Christmas signed from Darth Maul.]

Why Maul! I'm learning about all the incredible things you're able to do! I didn't know you were an artist too among all your skills!

[After he woke up towards the middle of the afternoon, tuckered out after spending all night delivering gifts, Maul answered her text.]

Thank you, Snow. I learned how to do so at the beginning of this year and having been practicing hard. The drawings aren't perfect but I thought some of my friends might appreciate them.

That is kind of you to say. I learned a long time ago there is always room for improvement and hope the next one will turn out even better.

Yes, but I've ALSO learned that an artist's worst critic is themselves.

This is true. I am never fully satisfied with a piece. I merely get it to a point where I know I cannot work on it anymore to a further point of improvement.
