[ he never actually approached the house before, but he's... stood guard outside it a few times. ]

[She blinks, surprised since she can't recall him ever BEING in her house before but maybe Sora pointed it out to him one day, unaware that he's stood guard to her home.]

Well, then I'll see you in a little bit, Squall.

[ Squall cuts their feeds out and heads out to Apple's place. It takes him about 15 minutes or so to get there, and an extra 5 minutes of awkwardly pacing in front of her home before finally knocking on the door. ]

[Snow answers the door and smiles, a bit surprised to see her tall Grumpy but quite glad all the same.]

Please come in, Squall. Are you hungry? Apple made an incredible breakfast this morning and we have plenty of muffins and pastries left over.

[ he nods his head to her and sort of awkwardly comes in, holding something behind his back. ]

Mm... I'll think about it.

This way then! I remember you don't like sweet things, how about some cheese danishes? [She gestured for him to follow her, unaware of the thing behind his back.]

Are you having a nice day today? It's a lovely day, the sun came out and everything!

It's... a pretty decent day, yeah.

[ He pretty much follows right behind her like a lost duckling or something. He just feels so out of place in her... bright and cheerful home. ]

And you...?

Oh I've had a wonderful day! Apple made me all my favorites, and then Sora and Apple sang me that wonderful song! Did you happen to hear it? No one has ever made me a birthday song before!

Ah... yeah I heard. They really wanted to make sure you had a good day today.

[She smiled as she pulled out some danishes for him, plating them and putting it out for him.]

They do... and I have a feeling someone else does too, someone very close to me right now. Am I right? [She asked, trying to gently ease him into the idea.]

I don't really.... do this birthday thing myself, but... I suppose it wouldn't hurt to wish for your birthday to be a decent day. You've lived through a lot and dealt with a lot of assholes.

[ Pardon his french. ]

[ He sets a small box down on the table and pushes it in her direction. ]

[She pauses when he sets down the box, and then pressed a hand to her mouth.]

Is... that for me? [Squall got HER a gift?] Squall, you got me a birthday gift?

It's... nothing special, and you can toss it out if you want to.

Why would I toss out a gift you gave me? [She smiled.] Ah, could I open it now?

If you want to.

[ if she opens the box she'll find a little metallic figure that he painted. It looks like a summon from his home. ]

[She's careful in unwrapping everything, and then when she sees the little figure.]

Oh... Squall, it's lovely and so adorable. [She offered him a bright smile, one of her brightest.] I love it, thank you. I'll put him right next to my bed.

It's name is Carbuncle. I figured... I've been enough of an insufferable brat so I've had this sort of in hiding for a while. I figured now was as good a time as any.

[She went over to him and grabbed his hand before lightly pulling him down to press a kiss to his cheek.]

I love it, I love him. Thank you, Squall. It's wonderful.

[ Squall tenses up at the cheek kiss. Not that it was Snow doing it, but he's still getting used to this physical affection thing. ]

You're.... welcome, Snow.

[ A small cloud started to form above Squall's head. ]

I'm really so glad, now all my birthday wishes really have come true!

All of your birthday wishes....?

I'm celebrating with friends and family, something I haven't done since I was seven years old!

And.... you consider me... as something similar?
